Titan

My cooperative muse and I met outside of a venue for brunch, first. Here we had loud music, good food, and around twenty other women in our party of loosely affiliated associates, along with five other men that came and went. She and I had plans, after all, to dive into the creative process afterwards and had assumed we would not stay at the brunch party long. Our host brought us lots of spoils and tithings, of which included glowsticks, and although their utility was not apparent during day time, it foreshadowed the creative adventure we were going to have. 

After brunch when the sun had already set, it was just her and bare body at my apartment, as depicted. We broke the glowsticks, scattering their fiberglass everywhere and chemical stains all over her skin and the walls. This became quickly integrated with our project and the results are now part of an image series that I will never forget.

This particular image makes me think about how titans appear in the Attack on Titan story.


This is how it came out in the camera, with color channel adjustments done in Lightroom. The red channel is actually very prominent and you can see that the laser is red if you pushed the levels back up. The glowstick chemical stains are on a different color channel that didn't overlap with red, so if it appears otherwise that is an optical illusion.
